rost

Lost tonight. I'm already excited.

I'm getting moved up to the front lanes at work. This makes me incredibly happy and will severly cut down on my anxiety and stress levels. It will also mean steadier hours.

I don't know if "steadier" is a word or not. I'm almost dead.

I also got good pills for my back. And hopefully some shots here in the future.

stupid work

I didn't get my bonus, because I was labeled as "seasonal" for the first few months of my job. This, therefore, disqualified me from getting a bonus. And the iPod I was going to buy with it.

But I will get one. Oh yes, it will be mine. I'm going to take some time to get some more music and arrange my collection nicely. OCD is fun. I'll get one in a few months, in any case.

I did, however, get World of Warcraft. And after having some trouble installing it, I now have no life again. More on that later.

I'll do comics tomorrow. I'm tired.

comics and things

I'm getting an iPod on Friday. I get a ridiculous bonus from work and I'm going to spend it all in one place. I might also get World of Warcraft so my life can further be destroyed.

Here's comics. I'm placing an order on Friday.

American Virgin #3, which I haven't started yet; Angel Spotlight: Illyria, which should be neat; Annihilation: Super-Skrull #2 (of 4), which is proving to be pretty good as a whole; Batman: Secrets #3 (of 5), which I haven't started yet; Crisis Aftermath: The Battle for Bludhaven #3 (of 6), which I can say the same about; Ex Machina #20, which is always one of my favorites; Fables #49, which is always good; Fantastic Four: First Family #3 (of 6), which I haven't started yet; 52 #1 (of 52), which I'm very excited about; Firestorm: The Nuclear Man #25, which I'm very behind on; Jonah Hex #7, which is wonderful; Nightwing #120, which has been decent lately; She-Hulk #7, which I'm behind on and need to get caught up soon; Spike: Lost and Found, which should be all kinds of cool; Superman #652, which is part of a wonderful crossover story; Thunderbolts #102, which I'm behind on; Uncanny X-Men #473, which I'm also behind on; X-Men: Deadly Genesis #6 (of 6), which is the end of a beautiful mini-series; and X-Men: The 198 #5 (of 5), which I'll be getting all of in my next order.

And some covers.

I had a good day off. I need more of them.

last night's lost

Holy fucking shit.

I hate not being around other people who watch this anymore. I need to talk about it. Motherfuck. I hate the fact that it wasn't spoiled for me at all.

I have my own theories. But I don't want to ruin it for anybody who hasn't seen it yet.

Fuck. Yay. I'm happy there are shows like this out there. Although not that many anymore.

I'm reading Bad Twin, which is the weird tie-in novel from the show. Given the subject matter, the title, and the fact the end was destroyed on the show itself, I'm guessing there are some answers hidden in there somewhere.

I found out my car blew a timing chain. It apparently costs a lot to fix. The guy who told me this, however, seemed methed out of his head, so I'm going to have someone else take a look at it. And the Mazda, which he also told me was dead. But I didn't know he looked like that. Maybe they're both fixable. Fingers crossed.

I also passed my PPR test. The one that I broke my car trying to get to in Lubbock. Not only did I pass it after showing up an hour and a half late, but I only missed two questions on the whole damn thing.

I still need to take the English test. And possible something called a composite social studies test, so that I can teach other things besides just History (Geography, Government, Economics, etc.). I wish people would tell me these things.

Oh, and...

Indeed.

comics for this week and next

Things are going wonderfully. I am completely done with school. Of course, I don't know what I'm doing now. But I'm happy. I have time to watch stuff I'm behind on, read things I've been meaning to read for years, and ponder my future to the extent of depression.

Here's what comics came out last week. I'm going to be catching up on stuff over the next few months.

Amazing Fantasy #20, which I need to get caught up on; Amazing Spider-Man #531, which I've always enjoyed; The American Way #3 (of 8), which I'm looking forward to checking out; Annihilation: Ronan #1 (of 4), which I'm excited about; Army of Darkness #6, which I'm behind on; Astonishing X-Men #14, which is full of Joss Whedon-y goodness; Batman #652, which should continue to be wonderful; Black Panther #15, which I'm behind on; Blue Beetle #2, which should be good; Catwoman #54, which I'm really behind on; Checkmate #1, which should kick all kinds of ass; Crisis Aftermath: The Battle for Bludhaven #2 (of 6), which might end up being good; Daughters of the Dragon #4 (of 6), which I'm getting as a whole; Fantastic Four #537, which is full of doom; G0dland #10, which is just great; The Great and Secret Show #2 (of 12), which I'm looking forward to; Hawkgirl #51, which I'm behind on; Incredible Hulk #94, which is awesome; Invincible #31, which is always one of my favorites; Ion #1 (of 12), which I'm hoping kicks a lot of ass; Iron Man: The Inevitable #5 (of 6), which is surprisingly good; Legends of the Dark Knight #204, which I'm very behind on; Marvel Knights 4 #29, which is the next to last issue and makes me sad; New Avengers Annual #1, which should kick all kinds of ass; Red Sonja vs. Thusla Doom #3 (of 4), which is full of Peter David-y goodness; Runaways #15, which is always amazing; The Sentry #8 (of 8), which has been just wonderful; Seven Soldiers: Frankenstein #4 (of 4), which is th elast of these mini-series; Shrugged: Beginnings, which should be worth checking out; Skye Runner #1 (of 6), which should be really good; Solo #10, which I think is the last issue; Spider-Man Loves Mary Jane #5, which is for the 14-year-old girl inside of me; Storm #3 (of 6), which I haven't started yet; Supergirl and the Legion of Super-Heroes #17, which I'm very behind on; The Thing #6, which is just fun; Ultimate Fantastic Four #29, which is always great; Villains United: Infinite Crisis Special, which is the last of these one-shots; Wolverine #41, which is a one shot story; and X-Factor #6, which is one of my new favorites.

And the covers.

And comics out this Wednesday, which is a big week event wise.

Action Comics #838, which continues the "One Year Later" story; Annihilation: Silver Surfer #2 (of 4), which should continue to be all cosmic and cool; Batman: Journey Into Knight #9 (of 12), which I'm behind on; B.P.R.D.: The Universal Machine #2 (of 5), which I'm also behind on, but enjoy when I read; City of Heroes #13, which I haven't played in a while but still enjoy storywise; Civil War #1 (of 7), which should be all kinds of great; Detective Comics #819, which continues another "One Year Later" story; Exiles #80, which I always enjoy; The Exterminators #5, which I haven't started yet; Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #8, which has turned into a great book; Fury: Peacemaker #4 (of 6), which I haven't started yet but assume it will be great; Hard Time Season Two #6, which is great; Infinite Crisis #7 (of 7), which I'm really looking forward to; JSA #85, which is beautifully drawn; Marvel Team-Up #20, which is one of my favorites; Neil Gaiman's Neverwhere #7 (of 9), which is a beautiful adaptation of a beautiful book; Outsiders #36, which is really good; The Punisher #33, which I'm really behind on, but always enjoy immensly when I get around to it; Sentinel Squad One #5 (of 5), which I've only read the first issue of; Supergirl #6, which will be the only Greg Rucka issue, it seems; Teen Titans #35, which is always good; Ultimate Spider-Man #94, which is always one of the best books ever; X-Men: The End Book Three #5 (of 6), which I'm behind on; and Y: The Last Man #45, which is always great.

I should be able to keep up with my blog more frequently now. It's been a little sparse of things other than comics, which considering how sparse my comic reading have been lately is kind of ironic. But I can talk about books and films and television more to a point, which I've always enjoyed doing. I'm also more obsessed with MySpace these days. I also still have no car, which I hate.

However, I might get moved to a different department at work, which will make my life so much easier. I've also changed my avaliability to mornings and afternoons instead of just nights, which should get me more hours (if I don't move to full time for the summer) and get my sleep schedule back to normal. Hopefully things will start falling into place.

Sigh. And things.
