comics for this week

Almost done. One more week. Things are changing. I am happy.

Here's the comics that came out this week. I'm behind on a lot of stuff, but I'll be catching up soon. Which also makes me happy.

Angel: Old Friends #5 (of 5), which is all kinds of cool; Annihilation: Nova #1 (of 4), which should be as good as the rest of these books; Birds of Prey #93, which is one of my favorites; Bite Club: Vampire Crime Unit #1 (of 5), which I'm really looking forward to; Captain America #17, which is one of the best books out there; Conan #27, which continues to be metal; Conan: Book of Thoth #2 (of 4), which contains even more metal; Daredevil #84, which is just awesome; Ex Machina Special #1 (of 2), which I'm looking forward to; Fury: Peacemaker #3 (of 6), which I'm going to be getting as a whole; Hellblazer #219, which I'm behind on but enjoying; Iron Man #7, which I'm looking forward to; JLA Classified #20, which I'm behind on; JSA Classified #11, which I'm also behind on; Justice #5 (of 12), which is beautiful; Man-Bat #1 (of 5), which might be good but could also suck lots of ass, because Bruce Jones is capable of both; Manhunter #21, which I'm really behind on; New Avengers #18, which is always wonderful; New Mangaverse #4 (of 5), which I'm also getting as a whole; Nextwave #4, which is full of Warren Ellis goodness; Red Sonja #9, which is also metal; Red Sonja/Claw the Unconquered: The Devil's Hands #2 (of 4), which might make this the most metal week ever; Rising Stars: Untouchable #3 (of 5), which I haven't started yet; Robin #149, which is one of the best "One Year Later" books (actually, they've all be pretty bad ass); Sensational Spider-Man #25, which has horrible art but a nice story; Sentinel Squad One #4 (of 5), which I'm behind on; Spider-Woman: Origin #5 (of 5), which is just plain good; Squadron Supreme #2, which should be all kinds of cool; Testament #5, which I'm behind on; Wolverine: Origins #1, which should be neat; and X-Men #185, which I'm looking forward to.

And some covers.

All for now. Off to work. Which might changing soon, along with everything else.

beauty

My mother annoys me. She needs to listen to people (not me) who know more about things than she does.

This is David Mack's cover to the upcoming White Tiger #2. It almost makes me cry.

EXPLODE

It's possible today was one of the worst days ever. I don't even want to talk about it. It involved my car breaking down on the way to Lubbock and being stranded in Seagraves (where it still is), having to have my mom come and get me to take me the rest of the way, being late for my test (which, fortunatley, they still let me take, although I don't know how well I did on it with my shattered fucking nerves), locking my keys in said car when we were coming home, and then getting in a fight with my mother over the condition of said car. I have no fucking clue what it wrong with it or how in the hell I am going to get it back home.

I cry.

roads

We got my mom about half moved on Saturday. My thanks goes to Chris and Amanda for their unwavering and absolutely wonderful assistance.

Sunday my mother and I drove to Austin for my uncle's funeral. It was your standard funeral. My cousin Shawn and I seemed to bond for some reason. We've never been close, but losing your father can change all of that.

We attempted to drive back Sunday night. Both my mom and I were exhausted. We would take hour longs while the other person slept until she got pulled over in Llano for swerving. So I drove to Brady and we got a motel room so that we wouldn't die on the road. It was best thing we could do.

Starbuck went with us. She got play with my aunt's dogs and we stopped at a park in Sterling City for about an hour we she probably had the most fun she's had in a long time.

Good trip under bad circumstances. I'm taking to day so that I don't explode and we can finish getting my mom's things from her house. Most of them, anyways.
